WANT TO TOSS YOUR BOSS OR CO-WORKER OFF A BUILDING FOR CHARITY?

LONDON, Ont. — Trucking for Wishes, in partnership with Make-A -Wish Southwestern Ontario, is encouraging those in the trucking industry to nominate your boss or co-worker to rappel of the iconic 26 storey TD Tower in London, Ont. on June 17.

The event is called Rope For Hope and all proceeds of the event go toward helping provide wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.
“This year we wanted to get the trucking industry together to do something crazy to raise money for Make-A-Wish… What’s crazier than rappelling off a 26 storey building?” says Aaron Lindsay, v.p. of marketing at Trucking For Wishes. “Our inspiration came from Kathy Koras of Truck News who participated in the event in Toronto last year.”
Here is what Kathy had to say about her experience, “I did it! I conquered my biggest fear of heights. That’s how much I believe in Make-A-Wish…I challenge each and every one in the trucking industry to participate and help mane the hopes and dream of children with life threatening medical conditions a reality!”
To get involved, those nominated for the event need to raise a minimum of $1,500 in personal or corporate donations in order to qualify to rappel.
Companies that participate in the Rope For Hope event will receive:
1) One registration to rappel for a lucky staff member
2) Your company logo on the Make-A-Wish Trailer for one full year (it will be on display at the event on June 17th)
3) Access to the trailer for 2 weeks for you or one of your clients
4) Your company logo in the Make-A-Wish promotional video being shot at the event
5) Your company logo on www.truckingforwishes.com for one full year
Fourteen people from the trucking industry have already signed up in the event from Challenger, Doug Coleman Trucking, Birdseye Solutions, Dalton Timmis, TransAm Carriers, Travelers Financial, TransCore, NAL Insurance and more… We only have 8 more spots left and they will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
