AYR, ON – JBT Transport has partnered with the Edmonton Emergency Relief Services Society and Edmonton Food Bank to ship relief supplies to Fort McMurray, AB.
The Stuff-a-JBT-Truck campaign is collecting everything from children’s clothing to non-perishable food and blankets, and is even supplying corporate donors with bins to collect contributions. Everything collected by June 30 will be shipped.
“We are keen to get involved and help our friends in Fort McMurray. JBT is a trucking company and we thought the best way we could help was by donating transportation to help bring supplies to the front line organizations assisting displaced individuals. We are asking for donations so we can deliver a full trailer of items. We hope the response is so overwhelming that we will have to send out multiple trucks to carry all the supplies," said Natalie Martin, marketing and social media coordinator.
Items can also be dropped off at the fleet office at 235 Waydom Drive in Ayr, Ontario from 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
The company is also collecting related financial donations on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross.
“We hope the response is such that we will have to donate the transport for multiple truck loads,” the company says on its website. “Please help us achieve this goal and support our friends in Fort McMurray as they work to rebuild their lives.
