LISLE, IL — Navistar has announced that subscriptions to its OnCommand Connection (OCC), the company's open architecture remote diagnostics system introduced in 2013, have surpassed the 200,000 vehicle mark.
Vehicle status and diagnostic trouble code data from telematics providers are transmitted to Navistar. The OnCommand Connection then interprets the data and creates straightforward vehicle health reports and action plans for the customer. The system enables fleet users and other customers to achieve more efficient repairs and maintenance, better lifecycle value, and an overall lower total cost of ownership, giving them increased visibility into maintenance needs.
"OnCommand Connection continues to grow its subscriber base by proving its value to a wide range of customers who are seeking a one-stop telematics solution for their entire fleets," announced Terry Kline, Navistar’s senior vice president and chief information officer.
OnCommand Connection is available as a standard, no-charge feature on all new International trucks, as well as via aftermarket solutions supporting legacy International trucks and non-International vehicles
