CONFERENCE TO EXAMINE INTERNET OF THINGS AND ITS EFFECT ON TRANSPORTATION

TORONTO, Ont. — The inaugural Internet of Things (IoT) Conference scheduled for June 21-22 plans to address the importance of IoT on the Canadian transportation sector.
The event will be held at the Sheraton Toronto Airport. It will feature a keynote address by Kia Canada COO Ted Lancaster. Scott Tilley, chairman of the Ontario Trucking Association, Mark Seymour, CEO of Kriska Transportation and Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada will also be speaking.

The conference is aimed at executive interested in leveraging the Internet of Things.
"IoT technologies enable organizations in the industrial industry to resume work in a fraction of the time required before," says IoTEvents.ca managing director Hifazat Ahmad. "For example if the global oil industry improves pump performance by even 1%, it would increase oil production by half a million barrels a day and earn the industry an additional $19 billion a year. This conference will bring leaders from to talk about how the future of IoT will shape the future of all Industrial sectors, including transportation."
Presentations will include case studies of businesses that are benefiting from the use of new tools and technologies, as well as real-time experiences of technology professionals.
