What’s your trucking story? Got a great truck photo or video? To launch a new driver lifestyle website, TruckerTerritory.com, Progressive is collecting driver stories and pictures, and the insurance company will award $1,000 for the best.
Other stories will be collected and featured on the site, explained Brett Stalnaker, Progressive product manager, at the Mid-America Trucking Show here. The contest is open through May.
“The nice part about the website is it provides a lot of other helpful tips,” he said. “We’ve got some fitness ideas for when you’re out on the road—ways to exercise to get up and get the blood moving. Recipes for things you can fix in the cab, good healthy, easy recipes.”
Progressive continues to promote truck driver health, and has made September National Trucker Health Month, he noted.
Progressive also has several “more to come” items, Stalnaker added, including the New Trucker Playbook, an all-in-one resource about the job and the industry, and an ELD education program, including a free ELD for Progressive customers.
“We try to be easy to use with our insurance and make things as clear as possible,” he said. “There are a lot of aspects to being a trucker that are complicated, and there’s a lot of research involved. So being able to help out with some of these other things, that just fits within our wheelhouse.”
