Police have located the body of missing truck driver Tommy Lee Wilson in Newton, Mississippi, which is located along I-20 between Meridian and Jackson.
A missing person’s report for Wilson, 36, was filed on Sunday, May 29. He was reported missing after his truck was found at the Newton Junction on Mississippi Highway 15. He was not with the truck.

Wilson is originally from Milledgeville, Georgia.
Wilson’s body was found about 100 yards into a wooded and overgrown area, according to the Newton Police Department. Police are waiting for results from the medical examiner. Cause of death has not yet been determined. The identity of Wilson’s body was confirmed at approximately 2 p.m. CT June 1.
“I want to ensure the public that this case is not closed and cause of death has not been determined,”said NPD Chief of Police Harvey Curry “My investigative staff as well partners with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are working to find the answers we all want to know; how, why, and what happened.”
