WERNER ENROLLS 5,000TH VETERAN IN ITS APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Charles Doster, from Cordele, Georgia, is the 5,000th veteran to use his or her GI Bill benefits to enroll in Werner’s apprenticeship program.

Currently, Doster serves in the Georgia Army National Guard as a truck driver/supply specialist. He attended Roadmaster Drivers School in Jacksonville, Florida, before joining Werner.

In 2006, Werner partnered with the Department of Labor and the Department of Veterans Affairs to start the industry's first Professional Truck Driver Apprenticeship Program.
