FEDEX FREIGHT SIMPLIFIES LTL SHIPPING WITH THE NEW FREIGHT BOX

FedEx Freight announces the launch of the FedEx Freight box in the U.S. This new flat-rate freight box option makes transporting less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments simple, with improved flexibility, increased security, and best of all — no freight classification.

The FedEx Freight box packaging is included in the flat-rate cost and comes in two sizes — a standard size freight box that requires a pallet to ship, and a smaller freight box with an integrated pallet. The freedom to choose your freight box makes freight shipping accessible for businesses, no matter the size.
Raj Subramaniam, executive vice president of Marketing and Communications at FedEx Services, said, “Our new FedEx Freight box is a solution that will help small- and medium-sized businesses with their freight shipping needs and provide an extra level of security and protection for all customers.”
FedEx Freight is also introducing two new zone-based rate alternatives that will provide customers more options to help them find the pricing that best fits their business needs. Some discounts in the less-than-truckload (LTL) industry are reaching very high levels, so the new FedEx Freight zone lite and FedEx Freight zone lite plus feature recalibrates list rates and lower discounts to provide overall net rates consistent with other FedEx Freight offerings.
